Placement Exams

ACT/SAT

Scores from standardized test such as the American College Test (ACT), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Accuplacer or COMPASS are not required for acceptance to the college.  However, scores from one of these tests are required for placement purposes.  To request ACT scores, visit www.act.org.  To request SAT Scores, visit sat.collegeboard.com/scores.

ACCUPLACER

Bridgemont Community and Technical College offers the Accuplacer exam free of charge on an as-needed basis.  For more information or to schedule an appointment for testing, please call (304) 734-6619.

CLEP

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is administered by appointment.  To receive credit, a student must pass an examination in the proposed area(s).   You may request test scores from www.collegeboard.com . The following exams are accepted for Bridgemont CTC course credit:

• History of US I: Early Colonization to 1877
• History of US II: 1865 to Present
• Western Civilization I:  Ancient Near East to 1648
• Western Civilization II: 1648 to Present
• Biology
• College Algebra

• Introductory Business Law
• Principles of Marketing
