LEARNING LAB

Free tutoring is offered to all Bridgemont students during the fall and spring semesters. A professional tutor is available in the Learning Lab to assist individuals as well as small groups. Even though tutoring can be requested at any time, students are encouraged to seek assistance as early in the semester as possible.

Learning Lab Hours:

Monday through Wednesday: 8 AM – 5:30 PM
Thursday:  8 AM - 4:30 PM
Fridays and After-Hours: By Appointment Only

ONLINE RESOURCES

Brainfuse is a free online tutoring service available to all Bridgemont students. Brainfuse-certified instructors assist students with expert writing assistance, live tutoring in a wide range of college subjects, and more. Brainfuse services include:

  • Live Help – offers live online help from expert tutors.
  • 24/7 Question Center - available for students who need a detailed, structured explanation of key concepts or help with an assignment.
  • Online Writing Lab - provides both live writing assistance and expert analysis of student papers.
  • Test Center - offers practice quizzes in core subject areas.
  • Flashbulb™ - allows students to create their own flashcards or choose flashcards from the extensive Brainfuse library and view them from any computer or mobile device.

Each Bridgemont student has a personal Brainfuse account that can be accessed directly through the student Bridge account by following a few short links:

  • Login to the Bridge
  • Click on the Email & Online Courses link on the Main Menu Page
  • Click on the Blackboard – eCampus link
  • Click on the Brainfuse link at the top of the page or the Brainfuse Live Help link under Tools
  • Click on Connect to Brainfuse

Hippocampus – www.hippocampus.org – a free online service which provides tutorials and review lessons in a variety of subject areas. Anyone can establish a free account and use the service as needed

Khan Academy - www.khanacademy.org - a free online resource with over 3,200 instructional videos on everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history, including hundreds of skills to practice at your own pace.
